Billing & Plans

Tenaxis has one plan. Everything in the product is included on it, at every size. Price scales with the size of the estate being governed, through bands.

One plan, priced by estate size

There are no feature tiers. Tenaxis is a pipeline - discover, govern, review, remediate, prove - and removing a stage does not produce a smaller product, it produces a broken one. Every customer gets access reviews, lifecycle management, offboarding, policies, automation, webhooks, evidence export and the portal.

Both are offered. Monthly has no annual commitment, so you can try Tenaxis for a month and stop. Annual costs two months less than paying monthly for a year. You can start monthly and move to annual later; it is the same plan either way, with nothing gained or lost in the switch.

Founding customer rate

Tenaxis is early, and we are working with a small number of organisations who want to shape a governance tool rather than inherit one. Founding customers pay 40% less than the prices above, held for 24 months, in exchange for a monthly feedback call and permission to be named as a reference. It is limited to the first five organisations.

The rate is applied as a discount against the list price, so your invoice shows both. After 24 months the discount ends and the subscription continues at the list price then in effect - there is no plan change and nothing to migrate.

How bands work

Your band is decided by the number of user accounts in your Microsoft 365 directory. Three things follow from that, and they are the point of the design:

  • It is never metered. There is no per-seat arithmetic, no true-up and no mid-year adjustment. You pay one predictable amount.
  • It never blocks anything. Crossing a band does not fail a request, disable a feature or stop a scheduled job. It is a conversation at your next renewal.
  • Governing more never costs more. There is no limit on the number of sites, workspaces or administrators, and no charge for adding them. Coverage is the measure Tenaxis exists to raise; charging for it would work against you.

Your current user count and band are shown on Billing, refreshed daily from your directory, so you see the same number we do before it is ever discussed.

Free Trial

Every new workspace starts with a 14-day free trial with the full product and no restrictions - no site limit, no admin limit, no disabled features. The trial is time-boxed, not estate-boxed, so you can import and examine your real estate during it, which is the only way to judge whether the product is useful to you.

When the trial ends without a subscription, the workspace becomes read-only. Your data stays intact and exports remain available.

Paying by invoice

At these contract sizes most customers pay by invoice rather than card. Tenaxis issues invoices through Stripe with payment terms (30 days by default), payable by bank transfer or SEPA direct debit. Card payment remains available.

EU VAT is applied automatically. If you are a VAT-registered business outside the Netherlands, supply your VAT number and the reverse-charge mechanism applies.

Subscription Statuses

StatusWhat it means
Trialing14-day free trial is active
ActivePaid subscription is current and in good standing
Past DueA payment failed; your subscription is still active but needs attention
CanceledSubscription has been canceled; access expires at end of billing period

If Your Payment Fails

If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.):

  1. Tenaxis emails the billing contact with details
  2. Stripe automatically retries the payment a few times over several days
  3. A Past Due banner appears at the top of the dashboard
  4. All features remain active during this grace period
  5. If payment isn't resolved, the subscription is eventually canceled

To resolve: Billing → Manage Billing → Update payment method

Larger organisations

Above 2,500 users, pricing is agreed directly. The product is the same - what is negotiated is commercial and contractual rather than functional:

  • Multi-tenant or managed-service arrangements
  • Custom data retention periods
  • A negotiated data processing agreement
  • Support response commitments
  • Assisted onboarding

Contact us through your account to discuss.

Canceling Your Subscription

  1. Go to Billing → Manage Billing (opens Stripe portal)
  2. Click Cancel Plan
  3. Confirm cancellation

Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that:

  • You can no longer provision new sites
  • Existing site data remains visible (read-only)
  • You can export your data (reports, audit log)

If you resubscribe later, all your existing data (sites, policies, templates, audit log) will be intact.

Billing FAQ

Q: Do I pay more if I govern more sites? A: No. The number of sites, workspaces and administrators is unlimited on every band. Only your directory user count decides the band.

Q: Can I get a refund? A: Tenaxis follows standard SaaS billing terms. Contact support for specific refund requests.

Q: Does Tenaxis store my credit card information? A: No. All payment processing is handled by Stripe. Tenaxis only stores a Stripe customer ID reference.

Q: Can I have multiple Tenaxis workspaces? A: Each Microsoft 365 tenant gets one Tenaxis workspace. If your organization has multiple M365 tenants, contact sales for multi-tenant pricing.

Q: What happens to my data if I cancel? A: Your data remains accessible in read-only mode for 30 days after cancellation. After that, it may be deleted. Export your reports and audit log before canceling.
